All are Welcome!

LAUNCH INTO LEADERSHIP

Leaders Club is a year-long leadership development program for middle and high school teens. This program provides teens extensive leadership training and volunteer opportunities supporting YMCA programs and community services. In addition to teaching teens leadership through service, Leaders Clubs advisors introduce teens to all the work the Y does to strengthen the community, and inspire and prepare teens to become future Y leaders. Our goal is to challenge teens to serve the community, and to help them grow in who they are and lead those around them.

Leaders are known for making ordinary days extraordinarily fun. We enjoy field trips, parties, visiting neighbor Ys, guest speakers, and lots more.

Session dues: $0 for Hockomock Area YMCA members / $5 non-members; our two sessions run: September through December and January through the start of June

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA

Improving Community Health

It’s easy to find your motivation for giving to the Hockomock Area YMCA. You’re not just doing something good for yourself, you’re contributing to the greater good of everyone in the Hockomock region.

Here at the Y, our certified coaches, in partnership with the LIVESTRONG Foundation, will help you if you have cancer or have experienced cancer by strengthening your body, mind and spirit. Participation in our program has been shown to improve fitness and quality of life as well as decrease cancer-related fatigue.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a small-group exercise and peer-support program for cancer survivors to reclaim their health and feel better, as illustrated by hundreds of positive testimonials received over the past 13 years.

  • Survivors who have experienced cancer at any point in their lives are eligible to participate.
  • Classes meet twice per week for 12 weeks.
  • Comprehensive program includes structured exercise training and time for social support.

The program is offered at no cost thanks to our generous sponsors and includes a 3 month family membership for the duration of the session.

“The most wonderful support group you could ever ask for.” — Donna

“”I quickly learned that everyone in LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is going through the same thing. This program helps my physical and mental health.” — Rick

Join our Kids’ Flip Fest to Benefit the Hockomock Area YMCA

Kids Helping Kids

Gymnasts of all ages and abilities are learning the value of social responsibility as our popular Flip Fest returns to the Hockomock Area YMCA branches the entire week of May 18, 2023!

At the Y, we believe in the potential of all kids. And that all kids should have the opportunity to grow and learn at the Y, regardless of ability to pay. Not enrolled today in gymnastics? That’s not a problem, as everyone is eligible to participate.

“The Hockomock YMCA has been a blessing to us. If it were not for all the donations we would not be able to send our children to the Y. Even a small amount can make a difference. You can help children and families like us.” – scholarship recipient

HOW TO JOIN FLIP FEST

Ask others to support your efforts to enrich someone’s life right here in our community
Share that the YMCA is a charity and we do not turn people away due to lack of funds
100% of dollars raised will go to our Reach Out Annual Campaign
This is a great fundraiser, allowing kids to solicit donations based on the number of flips (or cartwheels, forward rolls, walkovers, etc.*) they perform during our Flip Fest (in gymnastics classes 5/18-5/24/23) or you may ask for a flat donation of any dollar amount
Once your pledge form is complete, come to the Y during the Flip Fest for counting
Non-participants in gymnastics classes may schedule their private flip count with a staff member. Please email: sandyw@hockymca.org (Foxboro), laceyw@hockymca.org (Franklin), or kayleas@hockymca.org (North Attleboro).
Our Flip Fest pledge forms are available for easy download.

GET STARTED TODAY!

Week of Giving

TOGETHER WE CHANGE LIVES

Our Week of Giving campaign is 7 days devoted to philanthropy, advancing our mission and making an impact on children and families in our communities.

Each year our YMCA raises awareness and critical funds in our branches through a Week of Giving campaign. This year’s campaign runs June 6 – 12.

All donations will help us advance our mission and impact even more people in our communities.

The positive impact of the YMCA is needed now more than ever. With your help, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, ability, income or background, has what they need to learn, grow and thrive with the Y’s support.

Your support, of any area of the YMCA that is meaningful to you, helps ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the Y—making our community stronger.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Charitable giving is vital to the success of our YMCA. Revenue we receive from our daily operations cannot fully fund the incredible needs of those in our community who count on us every day. That’s why YMCA staff and volunteers dedicate time each year to raising awareness, building relationships, and asking for philanthropic support to our annual Reach Out Campaign.
  • Reach Out is our Y’s annual campaign that ensures we continue to address diverse, emerging, and critical human needs across the 15 communities we serve.
  • In 2021, our YMCA provided $2.1 million in confidential scholarships and program subsidies to our neighbors in need to experience our YMCA programs and services regardless of ability to pay.
  • More than 1,425 of our area youth benefit from a day camp experience at our Y branches every day in the summer …creating memories & friendships that will last a lifetime and experiencing their Best Summer Ever. 23% of our campers receive confidential scholarship assistance made possible by the support of friends and donors like you.

It’s the generosity of people like you that helps ensure a Y experience is available to all. With help from the Hockomock Area YMCA’s Annual Reach Out Campaign, Lily was able to enjoy and thrive at summer camp.

Watch Lily’s camp journey at our YMCA.

Lily’s grandmother Terry shares: The Y has provided so many opportunities that I couldn’t possibly have offered my granddaughter. Lily could not be in a better, safer, more nurturing place than at the Hockomock Y.

Every Gift Makes a Difference

  • $50 – Provides a family-size bag of groceries
  • $50 – Provides a child with a month of youth programs such as sports, gymnastics, swim or enrichment
