Theatre Production Camp

Throughout the course of this 3-week session, theatre campers work together to produce, rehearse and perform a musical.

We begin each day with a warm-up and game, then spend mornings learning choreography, music, and scenes of the musical. After lunch, campers rotate between outdoor play activities and additional rehearsal time.

This camp does require additional dress rehearsals on Saturday morning of each performance weekend and will have 2 performances. Our daily camp will take place at our Mansfield Arts YMCA at 40 Balcom Street. Location for performances will be announced.

Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek.
