Become A YMCA Volunteer
Charitable giving is vital to the success of our YMCA. Revenue we receive from our daily operations cannot fully fund the incredible needs of those in our community who count on us every day. That’s why YMCA staff and volunteers dedicate time each year to raising awareness, building relationships, and asking for philanthropic support to our annual Reach Out Campaign.
To do our important work as a non-profit committed to the community, we rely on the support and hard work of dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference. Will you join us?
TOGETHER WE’RE STRONGER
Reach Out volunteers are integral to showing others how we positively impact the lives of those around us through telling their own stories, inviting people to engage in our YMCA, and asking for philanthropic investments to help us reach and impact more people.
THE ROLE OF A CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEER:
- Attend an informational meeting with YMCA staff to become equipped with the tools you need to be a successful campaign volunteer.
- Recruit attendees to the Reach Out Campaign Breakfast in June.
- Educate and advocate for the Y’s cause by sharing with family and friends how our YMCA has impacted our communities.
- Make a gift to the Y that is meaningful to you.
- Raise an additional $300 above your personal contribution from your friends, family, co-workers, etc. who believe in the Y’s mission work. Our Reach Out Campaign raises money for families and individuals who could otherwise not fully afford YMCA programs and services or who are in need of essential services.
