YOUTH MARTIAL ARTS

At the Y, students learn self-defense through martial arts classes that develop balance, coordination, self-confidence and discipline through practice of basic techniques and forms.

Karate

Our Y teaches Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate and concentrates on building confidence, courage, patience, inner strength and physical fitness. At the youth level, basic forms are taught using methods such as kata training. The Intermediate and Advanced Karate classes require instructor permission.
